Health Services Research UK (HSR UK) is the collective voice of UK health services research. We connect researchers with health service leaders, managers, clinicians and patients to drive improvement and innovation in the NHS. HSR UK is a registered charity, with its administrative base at the offices of the Nuffield Trust in central London. We are looking for an Executive Officer to work closely with the HSR UK Board, and with the wider membership of HSR UK and our external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for supporting and developing HSR UK’s activities, including meetings, conferences, networks, reports, projects and consultations. You will also provide (or source) administrative and financial support for the HSR UK Board and the organisation. This includes maintaining accounts, dealing with income and expenditure, keeping records and producing the annual HSR UK report and accounts for the Charity Commission and other stakeholders.
We’d really like to meet you if you have:
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for, and present to, a wide variety of audiences and to produce reports, blogs, papers and other content
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience of working on projects, with the ability to learn, understand and apply project management skills and techniques
- Highly developed organisational skills (self and others) with an ability to set and negotiate deadlines, and manage and support multiple projects at any one time
The Executive Officer is employed by HSR UK, but is based in the offices of the Nuffield Trust.
Informal inquiries should be directed to Professor Kieran Walshe, Chair of the HSR UK Board ([email protected]).
