There has been a growing realisation in the health services research community and of course more widely in society of the need to address longstanding biases and inequalities in both health and care and in the research community and its institutions. Research funders, universities, NHS organisations and many others are at least realising the scale of the challenges in equality, diversity and inclusion. This session will explore these issues both in relation to the health services research community itself and in relation to the way research agendas, questions, methods and approaches tackle them.
