Gemma McKenna is an Associate Professor in the Health Services Management Centre (HSMC) at the University of Birmingham, and specialises in child and adolescent mental health, public access and usage of urgent and emergency care services, with particular focus on patient centred care and vulnerable groups. Gemma is also actively involved in shaping health policy and system changes at national and local level. She is the Programme Director on the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Master’s (MSc) programme in Healthcare Leadership (NHS Graduate Management Trainees), and currently teaches on Global Health System Leadership-Emergency Preparedness, Response & Resilience.
She is the Associate Deputy Chair of HSR UK.
