Lynn Laidlaw

Lynn lives with a rare, auto immune Rheumatic disease and multiple long term conditions. A 4 year diagnostic odyssey prompted her interest in Patient and Public Involvement in health research and now she is involved with multiple researchers, academic institutions and health research organisations across the U.K. and beyond.

Lynn is particularly interested in Co producing ( working as equal partners for equal benefit ) health research, services and policy, and has worked as a patient/ peer researcher on a number of co produced research projects.

She firmly believe that involving patients and the public in health research reduces research waste and leads to research outcomes that meets everyone’s needs. No one cares about health research more than the people affected by conditions, to them research is hope.
