The Division of Health Research (DHR) within Lancaster University’s Faculty of Health and Medicine, in collaboration with the Centre for Corpus Approaches to Social Science (CASS), and Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking to appoint a Senior Research Associate to work on a study funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Health Services & Delivery Research (HS&DR) Programme. 

The aim of the project is to improve uptake, safety and usefulness of online mental health communities. This is a creative, inter-disciplinary, multi-institutional project using a realist informed approach.  

The role of the Senior Research Associate is to conduct a realist synthesis of literature and lived expertise from community members, moderators, to develop a programme theory, and to work with experts from computational linguistics and statistics to test this theory in a realist evaluation of several online communities.
