Bournemouth University are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences to contribute to a recently funded project from NIHR Applied Research Collaborative (ARC) Wessex. The study aims to explore whether a digital approach could be used alongside support from health coaches to help the lifestyle management of frailty (in its early stages). The project will be led by Bournemouth University and delivered in collaboration with a number of partners including University of Southampton, University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, The Adam Practice, Dorset CCG, Wessex AHSN, Help and Care. We will work together with people living with frailty, their carers, health coaches and health care professionals (key stakeholders).

The ideal candidate will have experience of conducting research in healthcare environments including experience of patient and public involvement and digital health. The candidate needs to be confident, having good organisation and communication skills, a track record of successful research, and a flexible working approach is vital, using your own initiative as well as in a team.

Salary: Starting salary from £30,497 - £35,326 per annum (pro rata) with further progression opportunities to £38,587
