Alex Milsom is an executive coach and strategic adviser. She is a cardiovascular scientist by background and brings more than 25 years' experience in medical research funding, health policy development and life sciences strategy across academia, the NHS, the charitable sector and government.
Throughout her career, Alex has held a number of senior leadership roles, including Director of Operations at the British Heart Foundation, where she oversaw strategic planning for the Medical Directorate, and within the Office of the Chief Scientific Officer for England, where she led the Science and Innovation Programme, supporting emerging science, knowledge transfer partnerships and clinical academic careers.
Passionate about bridging research and practice, Alex has championed public engagement in science throughout her career, serving as a STEMNET Ambassador and Science Director of a theatre company. She currently holds advisory roles on several health science boards and is a member of the Leadership Faculty of the Academy for Healthcare Science.
