To work individually and as part of a wider team on the ESRC Large Grant on Sustainable Care. The post holder will be the primary researcher on the “Modelling care system costs and contributions: data for a sustainable care and wellbeing strategy” Work Package. They will undertake research under the supervision and guidance of the Work Package principle investigator, Dr Matthew Bennett. The primary role of the researcher will be to use large-scale survey and administrative data to work on the costs and contributions of care; the financial and social sustainability of these under different scenarios; and the effects of changes to adult social care funding on service users, carers, and other stakeholders. The purpose of the role is to develop and deliver high quality research that supports the delivery of the specified project outputs. The post holder will be expected to work closely with other colleagues in Birmingham. The post is based at the University of Birmingham and regular attendance is expected (at least two days per week).
