Reporting to the Senior Technical Adviser (Economics), the Technical Adviser (Economics) will be responsible for supporting the health economic components of NICE guideline development, such as updating existing economic models or undertake the development of original, applied economic analyses that will be used to inform the deliberations of Guideline Committees (comprising decision-makers who are predominantly clinical, public health, social care and patient experts with limited formal expertise in health economics). In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical quality of the economic and modelling related outputs of the Guidelines programme, and providing economic and modelling advice and support to internal and external guideline developers.

The post holder will also line-manage Technical Analysts according to NICE’s policies and procedures, as well as contributing to the training and development of staff and Guideline Committee members on economics, as well as contributing to economic methodological developments for the Guidelines programme.
