An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Health Researcher to join the growing team at Health Technology Wales (HTW) while they roll out the next exciting phase. HTW is funded by Welsh Government and hosted by Velindre NHS Trust and are now finalising their immediate and medium term strategic goals and objectives.
The purpose of HTW is to identify, appraise, promote, enable and measure the adoption of health technologies across NHS Wales, linking into national agendas for innovation and prudent healthcare. HTW act as a Front Door to NHS Wales, signposting technology developers to initiatives to support technology evaluation and optimization over the life cycle of the technology. HTW will take responsibility for appraisals of the clinical and cost effectiveness of non-medicine health technologies in Wales, working with, but independently, of NHS Wales.
HTW are seeking to recruit a Senior Health Researcher (SHR) to lead a team of health services researchers (internal and external to the organisation). As well as having specialist knowledge of literature searching and critical appraisal, you will have extensive experience of leading evidence based projects and delivering work which will support national guidance on health interventions. You will also be able to demonstrate your ability to forge partnerships with UK and international partners in health technology assessments. This is a permanent post but secondments and organisational job shares may be considered. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
