Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Health Economist to join Health Technology Wales (HTW).

 

HTW is funded by Welsh Government and hosted by Velindre NHS Trust. The purpose of HTW is to identify, appraise, promote, enable and measure the adoption of health technologies across NHS Wales, linking into national agendas for innovation and prudent healthcare. HTW appraise the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of non-medicine health technologies in Wales, working with, but independently, of NHS Wales.

 

HTW are seeking to recruit a Senior Health Economist to drive forward the Health Economist function (internal and external to the organisation). Working alongside the existing Senior Health Economist, the post holder will be responsible for a range of duties, including producing rigorous reviews of health economics evidence, developing cost effectiveness models, and undertaking resource impact analyses. Your role will also involve publishing your work and contributing to scientific conferences in relevant fields when required. The senior role will involve leading a programme of work and managing other researchers and experience of these aspects is required.
