The School of Social Policy at the University of Birmingham is recognised as one of the main centres for social care and health research in the UK. We are seeking to recruit a research fellow to work full-time for 24 months. The post holder will be the primary researcher on one of the work packages of the Sustainable Care project: Comparing Care Systems in the UK: developments, differentiation and prospects in the four UK nations. They will undertake research under the supervision and guidance of the Work Package lead, Professor Catherine Needham. 

The postholder will be involved in conducting: a literature review; a scoping exercise of care systems internationally; a review of care policy documents in the four nations of the UK; national stakeholder interviews and local interviews in case study sites. The postholder will also contribute to the analysis, writing up and dissemination of the research. 
We are seeking a social science researcher with relevant experience of undertaking qualitative research and policy analysis, ideally within the field of social care.
