Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Oxford are seeking to appoint a postdoctoral, qualitative or mixed-methods researcher with experience of research in healthcare settings to join the Medical Sociology and Health Experiences Research Group (MS&HERG) within the department. You will conduct qualitative observation and interviews to examine the work, workforce, and organisational implications of NHS111 Online and support a survey examining eHealth Literacy and patient preferences when using online health services.
The successful applicant will be a social scientist with experience of collecting data using qualitative and/or mixed methods and using theory-driven approaches to analysis. You will hold a PhD in either social science, health services research, health psychology or a related subject, have proven experience of qualitative research within a health or social care setting, with excellent interpersonal, analytic and communication skills and a good publication record. Ideally you will have particular experience of ethnographic research in NHS primary or emergency care settings and an understanding of how the NHS works.
