An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Information Specialist to join the growing team at Health Technology Wales (HTW) while they roll out our next exciting phase.
HTW is responsible for the identification, appraisal and adoption of health technologies across NHS Wales, linking into national agendas for innovation and prudent healthcare. HTW is responsible for undertaking appraisals of the clinical and cost implications of non-medicine health technologies in Wales, working with, but independently of, NHS Wales.
HTW are seeking to recruit a full-time, permanent Information Specialist/Librarian to provide high quality, proactive knowledge management support to the work of HTW on non-medicine health technologies. This includes literature searching, assisting with the scoping of HTW appraisals, information skills training and maintenance of electronic access to information resources.
As well as an appropriate degree, you will have specialist knowledge of systematic literature searching methodologies (in particular, experience of designing and running complex search strategies in a variety of electronic bibliographic databases), knowledge of reference management software, and a keen interest in evidence-based medicine.
