The research agenda for the Global Challenges Research Fund is undeniably impressive, covering a wide range of development issues. UK academic institutions are the primary recipients of this £1.5 billion aid fund to support the Global South. This LSE Impact blog argues that the fund should do more than fund research on development – it should also promote understanding of how to undertake research for development.
